Brand New “Premium New Year Menu”
Two phases, 17 new dishes from $12, welcoming the New Year with irresistible freshness
Genki Sushi launches new menu items on the first day of every month. This Lunar New Year, the all-new Premium New Year Menu kicks off the festivities with indulgent flavors and auspicious delights.
Leading the lineup is Prime Amberjack Sushi ($16), prized for its delicate texture and rich marbling, symbolizing abundance for the year ahead. Grilled Amberjack with Monk Fish Liver Sushi ($23/2 pcs) pairs firm amberjack with monkfish liver, often called the foie gras of the sea, for a multi-layered umami experience. Geoduck Sushi ($22/2 pcs) features plump, crisp geoduck with natural sweetness and refreshing ocean minerality that bursts on the palate.
The Spicy Mantis Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll ($19) showcases whole mantis shrimp fried to golden perfection, finished with Genki Sushi’s signature garlic chili sauce for bold, surprising flavor. Jumbo Grilled Eel Sushi ($16) offers double the portion, lightly seared for a smoky aroma and deeply satisfying bite. Kuruma Prawn Sushi ($14) uses premium kuruma prawns with firm texture and clean, natural sweetness.
For a visual and flavor feast, the Deluxe Trio Sashimi Mini Donburi ($38) features thick-cut salmon, yellowtail, and sea bream, topped with salmon roe and baby scallops for five layers of indulgence. Boiled Firefly Squid Gunkan ($12/2 pcs) is generously loaded with Toyama Bay firefly squid, delivering pure ocean richness. Spicy Baby Scallop Gunkan ($12/2 pcs) combines sweet scallops with crispy garlic chili sauce for a perfect balance of crunch, heat, and freshness. Grilled Japanese Amadai Sushi with Lime ($17/2 pcs) is lightly seared for crisp skin, finished with lime to elevate its delicate sweetness.
From February 16, even more highlights join the menu. Duo Sweet Shrimp ($20) is plump, springy, and naturally sweet, paired with salmon roe for double the indulgence. Seared Cod Sushi ($17 for 2 pcs) features cod marinated in Saikyo miso, delivering gentle sweetness and fermented depth. Abalone with Soy Sauce Sushi ($19 for 2 pcs) is slow-cooked with Japanese soy sauce, sake, and mirin for rich, savory flavor in every bite. The luxurious Slow Cooked Jumbo Foie Gras with Green Apple Hand Roll ($28) pairs golden, crisp foie gras with fresh green apple for a refined, French-inspired finish.
Also available are three seasonal specials. Udon with Scallop and Truffle Sauce ($37) features a creamy black truffle sauce with mushrooms and tender scallops for elevated comfort. Grilled Scallop with Cheese ($22) is baked until golden and irresistibly stretchy. Making a bold debut, Sukiyaki Beef and Cheese Rice Croquette ($22) wraps sushi rice, sukiyaki beef, and rich cheese, breaded and fried to crispy perfection for layered textures and deep satisfaction.
