16 festive delights from just $12 launched in two phases, celebrating a prosperous Lunar New Year
Genki Sushi introduces new menu items on the first day of every month, and the new year begins with the launch of the “Good Fortune Festival” menu. Headlining the selection is the Jumbo Red Shrimp Sushi ($16, original price $17), made with extra-large red shrimp that is firmer, sweeter, and smoother than regular shrimp, served in a portion 1.5 times larger than the usual offering.
Also newly available are the Splendid Red Shrimp Sushi ($16 for 2 pcs), featuring generously topped sweet red shrimp and crunchy flying fish roe, the Seared Blackthroat Seaperch with Crispy Fried Leeks Sushi ($12), rich in natural fish oils and aroma after searing, and the Seared Red Seabream Sushi ($14), which is lightly blanched, chilled, and then seared to bring out its distinctive fragrance and natural sweetness.
Fan favorites return with the Sunazuri Toro Sushi ($27), showcasing richly marbled fatty tuna belly with deep, lingering umami, and the Sunazuri Toro Hand Roll ($27), wrapping diced Sunazuri Toro and silky tuna paste in crisp seaweed for a layered, satisfying bite.
For a refreshing contrast, the Octopus with Yuzu Sauce Sushi ($12 for 2 pcs) pairs chewy fresh octopus with fragrant yuzu sauce for a clean, balanced taste. The Duo Deep-Sea Red Crab ($28 for 2 pcs) includes Red Crab Stick and a generously topped Red Crab Roll, delivering both abundance and flavour. The Scallop and Red Crab Gunkan ($25 for 2 pcs) brings together red crab meat, scallop, and salmon roe for a multi-layered seafood experience.
From January 19, three additional items join the menu: Prime Buri Hira Sushi ($16), sourced from Shikoku, Japan, features a smooth, delicate texture. Buri Hira Sushi with sea salt and lime ($22 for 2 pcs) uses simple seasoning to highlight the fish’s pure, refreshing flavour, while the Buri Hira Roll ($18 for 4 pcs) combines Buri Hira with crunchy cucumber and white sesame for added texture.
The menu is rounded out with four seasonal limited-time items. The Jumbo Cheese Stick (Truffle Flavored) ($17) is coated in Japanese breadcrumbs and fried until golden and crisp, revealing rich truffle cheese inside. Beef Sukiyaki ($58) returns for winter, simmered in a sweet and savoury broth with beef, konjac noodles, grilled tofu, Chinese cabbage, enoki mushrooms, and spring onions for a comforting cold-weather favorite.
Also available is the Udon with Deep-Fried Shrimp and Creamy Tomato Shrimp Sauce ($35), combining crispy breaded shrimp, shredded crab stick, and udon in a rich shrimp-based sauce for warmth and depth of flavour. To finish on a sweet note, the Crepe Cake - Pistachio Flavour ($23) layers premium pistachio paste and smooth cream between delicate French crepes, delivering a dense texture and rich nutty aroma.
